Coalition of
Northeastern Governors
Created in 1976, the Coalition of
Northeastern Governors (CONEG) is a non-partisan association of the Governors of
the seven Northeastern states. Members include the Governors of Connecticut, Maine,
Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New York, Rhode Island and
Vermont. CONEG encourages intergovernmental cooperation in the Northeast on issues
relating to the economic, environmental and social well-being of the Northeast states. The
CONEG Policy Research Center, Inc. (Center) is an
incorporated 501(c)(3) non-profit organization which studies regional issues and serves as
the staff arm of CONEG.
Effective August 31, 2012, the New
England Governors’ Conference, Inc. is being absorbed with the
Coalition of Northeastern Governors (CONEG).
